Hello Everyone, I Am Back

I have been following a very sad development on YouTube. For those who don’t know what YouTube is, it is a web site where anyone can post videos for others to see. A while ago, I found a video were a person was taking what they called the “Blasphemy Challenge”. This challenge is based on the scripture in Mark that talks about the only unpardonable sin, that of the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. As I looked into this challenge, I found that there were a lot of people denouncing Jesus and the Holy Spirit and I felt bad for these people and I wanted to try to do anything I could to help them to understand that God does exist and that he loves them. The only thing that I thought I could do is to reply to the numerous comments to these videos. In many causes, I felt that people were searching for an answer, but somewhere along the way they were misinformed or misguided. Here are some of the comments that I have been posting. I want to post them here in the hopes that they could possible answer questions for anyone that finds this page. Also, for any other believers out there, I would like to compel you to follow my lead and go to YouTube and discuss your faith. There are a lot of lost people out there who are searching for the meaning of their life and if you don’t help them, others will continue to misguide them.

Comments:

Jesus lived, died, and rose again so that man, who is dead in his sin, can have eternal life. Everyone who believes in Jesus and accepts his gift of salvation will be saved. The blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the continual denial of this truth. If anyone creates one of these videos and a week or year later comes back to the saving knowledge of Christ, they will be saved and will not be a blasphemer of the Holy Spirit. I will pray for all of you who deny this true. May God be with you.

Say that there is someone that you truly love and you really wanted that person to love you. Would you want for force that person to your will? Say you were a millionaire, if you told that person that you love that you are a millionaire how would you know that that person truly loves you for you and not your money. God will not force his will on anyone and he will not do things to prove that he exists definitively because in a way that would force people to love him that otherwise wouldn't.

Many people believe that their salvation is based on their behavior and if they screw up they are damned. This isn't true. Jesus died for all sins, past, present, and future. To except this gift is all that needs to be done. God knows that we all continually sin. That is why animal sacrifice was not good enough and that is why he came and died for us to provided himself for a perpetual sacrifice to cover our sins.

Sin is responsible for all of the evil in the world. God knows the beginning from the end, but he is not the cause of it. He gave us free will and we have chosen to forget God and go our own way. This is the route of everything that goes wrong in the world.

How is the nucleus of an atom held together? Physics cannot explain it. What is at the edges of our universe and beyond? Nature doesn't know and we cannot comprehend it. God says that he holds everything together and that this hand spends the universe. When all cultures in the world were saying the earth is flat, the Bible talk about the circle of the earth and that it is hung upon nothing. The Bible is not a scientific book, but everywhere in the Bible that talks about science is infallible.

The fact that the bible has lasted thousand of years is a testament to its validity. It is not true that the bible has been manipulated. When they found the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947, they found a complete book of Isaiah and it was carbon dated to be a thousand years old. It is the same as what’s in the Torah today. This original Hebrew is what the versions of the Bible are based on. Give me an example of a contradiction in the bible and I will explain to you why it isn’t.

Where to Start - In the beginning...

These are a lot of questions and to answer them fully would take a lifetime. So where should I start?

Well lets start from the beginning.
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Gen 1:1

In the Gospel of John he writes:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:1-3

So according to the Apostle John, Jesus is God.

Does anyone else in the Bible think that Jesus is God?
John the Baptist Believed that Jesus is God. When the priests and Levites from Jerusalem ask John who John was he denied that he was the Christ (or Messiah) and said that he was "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Make straight the way of the Lord, as the prophet Isaiah said" John 1:23.

Well you say that doesn't prove anything, he only called Jesus Lord, not God. But, if you look back in Isaiah to see who he was talking about, we see the following passages:

"The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert A highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see [it] together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken [it]. The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh [is] grass, and all thegoodliness thereof [is] as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people [is] grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." Isaiah 40:3-8

So now we see that Isaiah was referring to God in this passage that John referenced. Also we see in the last verse from Isaiah, that I just quoted, where Isaiah talks about the word of God standing forever, it reminds me of the earlier verse that I quoted from John 1:1-3 where John talks about the Word being God. John 1:14 also says:

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."

Who Is Jesus?

Was he just a man?
Was he just a prophet like the Muslims say?
Was he the rightful King of Israeli?
Is he God?

Who did he say he was?
Who did others think he was?

What does the Old Testament say about Jesus if anything?
